I have just made new curtains for our VW camper.

Used suede look material with blackout lining for rear window and standard lining for the front (we use silver screens so it just for privacy if the screens are not up).

The rest of the windows have blinds so I have not bothered replacing the curtains there.

Cost less than £40 (though would have been much cheaper with less expensive material) and took about two evenings, so my advice is get a sewing machine or find a friendly old lady with one (not me though!).

Hello raine again - not gone just dont post as much these days - just lurking you may say.

Hi jeanann yep Ive seen the white stuff and may look into your idea but the whole beauty of the printed blackout is that it doesnt need lining therefore is not at all bulky. I like the idea of the single curtain that does both jobs - also its better for not absorbing the condensation. (I thought they were made from a floral incontinace sheet when I first saw them).

They are original fittings by AS so I should give them a ring but the style isnt to our taste. Embarassed

Remember seeing a cvan with unlined curtains - we could watch their TV all night. Shocked

I was also snooping round a new T5 Trident the other day and couldnt for the life of me see any blinds or curtains for the front windows!!!! Shocked

A
