Anyone got any tips to reduce the possibility of the trailer and/or the bike disappearing, either when travelling, parked or during an overnight stop. Rearview camera, locking towbar, chained bike and tyre pressure sensors come to mind, but anyone using an alarm system, or any other means of keeping their pride and joy; or are all the above and an enclosed trailer the way to go. Hi Tom all the things that you have listed plus if it takes you 20 mins to lock it on it will take them 30mins to break it off. The more visual deterrents you have the better chance you have of keeping your pride and joy.We also use a 1'' twist wire which also locks on.

You certainly can't beat an enclosed trailer. I use a Brenderup box trailer for our bikes - helps keep the bikes dry and protected from flying debris, as well as adding security, and gives additional storage space for tools, tyres, spares etc as well.
A decent hitchlock PLUS a heavy duty chain / padlock through trailer frame / towbar helps keep my mind at rest, too.
