Sigma 30

Hi all,

Does anyone have experience of using this alarm system ? I think the user manual is probably one of the most confusing peices of info I've ever read !!

At the moment I only set the alarm and leave it. According to the manual you should be able to alarm the system whilst still in it as a security measure. So far we have been unable to fathom out how.

any ideas anyone ?

John

Hi John

I do agree that the Sigma user manual is an object lesson in how not to write a user manual. Rolling Eyes

I recommend taking it to bed with you and reading it through several times. You still won't understand it but at least you'll get to sleep easily. Laughing Laughing Laughing

Do you have the two button fob ? On mine the first button press of the BIG button activates the alarm & all the available sensors. Then the small button is pressed once to delete the ultrasonic sensors. This protects the vans perimeter but allows you to move about inside.

You can do this from either inside or outside the van. IE you're going to sleep & want the alarm on. Or you're leaving a dog/wife Wink in the van for the day & want the alarm on.

If setting the alarm from the inside the van, pressing the small button should done immidiately after pressing the big button. The alarm takes 30 seconds to monitor the local conditions via the ultrasonic sensors & adjust their sensitivity accordingly. If you've done something wrong you'll know after the settle period elapses.

Dave.
