I had gypsy's attempt to steal my MH, the police arrested them actually inside the van, they didn't get my keys however they did have about 200 deferent keys with them so it was not an opportunists attempt to take it. The police kept me informed but the long & short of it was that they gave 19 deferent names & addresses, the police could not prove who they were so had to bail them to appear at court (do you really think they would turn up). A complete waist of time & tax payers’ money. The only reason they did not get away with the MH is that I had a wheel clamp on plus a crook lock & a lockable steel cable through the steering wheel, the type you have for a bike. (can't be cut using a hacksaw or bolt cutters). The morel of my story is that to avoid all the hassle & heart break don't rely on anyone other than yourself to combat the lowlife scumbags of this world.
Kindest regards & hoping you get your MH back

An awful thing to happen... to have your home broken into and your motorhome stolen. I keep all our keys "out". Maybe I should start hiding or locking them away somewhere. I think Citroen were onto something with some of their vehicles in the late 90's, they had a keypad immobiliser that you had to enter a numbered code into. Seemed inconvenient at the time, but a good deterrant. I know you can get alarms too with remote controls that you have to enter a code into to disarm.
I hope you get a swift and favourable solution to this horrible situation. |

I disagree Biggy - you need more imagination.
Two lengths of cord and two ceiling hooks about 10 feet apart. You can imagine the rest.
My suggestion would be to take the scumbag down to the garden shed and clamp his willy firmly in the vice. Then take the handle out of the vice and throw it away. Now put a rusty hacksaw blade in his hand - and set fire to the shed on your way out!
Hope this brings a smile to your face Timotei, and we'll keep a lookout was well, though I expect Patch has had a minor facelift by now and is wearing new number plates.
Hope you get it sorted pretty soon
Cheers |
