Buon giorno, what a very stupid man; or else a hardened criminal getting us a bad name. If it's the first case, then he must have evaluated the risk he was taking. Nearly every time I go through the tunnel I seem to get a going over, first by the French sniffer dogs, and then the UK customs team., and then by the gas man. If it's more likely the second, given the value involved then I hope they put him away for a long time.
Being from Malaga probably tied up with some Marbella/Morocco types.
saluti,
eddied

This reminds me of our trip through Calais port last Saturday.
Nice man at UK immigration asked us to pull to one side. A colleague came on board to search the motorhome, presumaly to search for anyone we had hidden on board.
She asked the kids to lift the seats so she could see that nothing was under them.
She looked in the wardrobe
She looked in the shower
The one place she did not look and the only place to hide anyone was in the garage!!
Seemed to me it was just going through the motion.

Ditto. I volunteered the fact that the 747 has huge underfloor storage too. No idea!

Quote, "good joint working by the team". Love it.
Didn't notice that, nice one!
On a more serious note, did you get the implication here
"Bob Gaiger, HMRC spokesman for the South East, said: "In line with the Government's drugs strategy, UKBA's main priority relating to drugs is to reduce the availability of class A drugs".
Or to put it another way, we leave the canabis market to the criminals these days. Oooh it do make me mad.

And I bet she took a good look at your face, read your body language reactions, searched for any signs or clues that you might be hiding something other than people of which they can detect in different ways.

That would have been the p****d off look as we had to wait 10 minutes to get through immigration before the search as they made the driver of the French car infront fill out some form.
The ironic thing is that going the other way the week before we went to hand our passports to French immigration at Dover and when he saw they we British passports he did not want to know and waived us through.
