Can anyone explain the difference between red blue and purple status 315 aerials as I need to buy a booster for a purple one, can I use any booster or must it be the same colour as the aerial?

I haven't come across these coloured logoed 315s but purple boosters are readily available. Note often a booster just makes things worse with an omnidirectional aerial such as the 315.

If you are spending money buy a 350 - £109

You get the booster and an aerial that works far better.

Sorry, yes.

I was about to buy one but got sidetracked by a cheap sat dish. The 315 I have is mighty unimpressive.

Well that assumes I have a 315, not a 135 or a 531, it's the "flying saucer" one as fitted to just about *everything*.

To make it even worse, one co-ax screen was not connected to the booster.

yeah- Know what you mean- the Five-Three- Zero ( Wink ) Directional aerial is much better than the Three-One Five omni-directional. Laughing

There are as correctly stated two different versions of the boosters out there, purple and orange.

What you need to do is look at your aerial, and note the colour of the text on the underside. You then need to purchase a booster with the matching colour.
