I bought my update comes in about £96 with the exchange rate of 1.91. Haven't loaded it onto the garmin yet, as the maps in total take up over 1.5GB and my card was ONLY 1GB Sad

So have now ordered a 2GB card and am awaiting its delivery. It is coming from the States.

As to whether it is worth it, I suppose it depends, I got mine with the 5.1v installed and didn't upgrade to v6 as I had just come back from a 5mth break and didn't really envisage using it too much in Europe until this year. In the end we went for 2 months in Sept/Nov and didn't really bother us, but felt that an upgrade was needed now.

I don't think this is for the 2620 though, so do read your notes first...I think it was for the 2610 and 2650 only. The 2620 came I think with v4.2... which is the equivalent of this v7 (I think)

Carol

Hi Carol, what Garmin GPS do you use as the largest Garmin Card I can find is only 256mg and that costs about £100.

Eddie/Elizabeth

After sending it I realised you said Streetpilot 3 - I have the Streetpilot 2610 and I bought it because of the problem you have now - cards are expensive and I think the 128Mb is the biggest...

Mine takes CF card, and a 2GB card is less than £80 from the states!!!

Hi Carol, Garmin now do a 256mg card which I have now, it holds all of UK plus Southern Ireland which is great but no where near large enough for France, I hope they increase the size of this card as it is specific to Garmin only.
Eddie.
