Full marks for effort getting the pix GandA. I had to change tyres on Two Loos once and it was a night mare. I could hardly hold the weight of the tyre having only one hand to do it and of course I had stopped in a bleedin puddle and I was miserable to say the least. I put the bust tyre inside as I was not going to sod about trying to get that back on. I think I am going to have to go for the Wimps Ultraseal and hope the AA have a sense of humour. They were very good with my blowout on Porky on the M5 I must say. Couldn't do enough.

Ta, Pusser. I got some strange looks from my neighbour
I changed a tyre twice on our old Pollensa (in truth, a nice French man changed the first one) - although, as you did, I struggled with the drop-down spare wheel carrier on both occasions. It's certainly not something you'd do for fun.

Here's my piccies - it looks like it's bolted to a chassis crossmember.

Gerald 10/10 and thank you - a question - is this between the wheels? or after the rear ones?
Again many thanks for your effort.... and I do take your point about getting the wheel down, just moving about in the back of the garage today was enough...

Dont think the grp walls are strong enough to take a spare wheel on the back, however one could take a leaf out of the old Bedford motorhomes(bedouin)and have it fitted on the front. Although thinking about it the ladder that is fitted has to take a good weight, mabe a diagonal braket would fit for the spare on the back. like some of those 4x4's.onto the ladder.
would stop some people getting p close.

Cabby I don't think they are either - not without strengthening, and it wouldn't really look very nice, the rear of the Rapido is rather nice I find... We have no ladder at the back, or bike rack.
