Hi
My parents are off to Aus this autumn and will be wanting motorhome hire. I think they are starting off in Melbourne.
THey have their own motorhome which clearly doesn't fit in hand baggage
Any recommenations for reasonable quality but good value motorhome hire in Aus/Melbourne area?
Cheers!

Hi, We did New Zealand back in January 2007. We hired Maui campers and were disappointed with the quality. They looked very tired. Have heard good reports about the KEA range. Feedback seems good. Have a look at

I don't know anything about them except we saw loads of their vehicles on the road & they seem to be quite popular.
We have not long left Oz after visiting family both in Perth & Adalaide and travelled from one city to the other across the [in]famous 'Nullabor plain' . . aprox 2300km of nothing but low shrub & roadkill kangaroo by the side of the roadway . . you don't need a GPS unit - there is only one road ! added to that is was strange looking at a road map where several pages had nothing shown except a mud track or unsurfaced road with the warning printed in bold letters "do not attempt this journey without extra fuel and water" . . The M6 it 'ain't ! - on one road we drove for 2 hours before seeing another vehicle, mind you the choice of beaches is endless on one we shared the beach with a family of kangaroo's that came out of the bush right next to us and wandered around . . not having seen a kangaroo before [except in a book or on TV] - I was supprised at how big they are but the little baby 'joeys' are cute.
Oh, I forgot to mention the flies . . . you think that the wine bottle corks hanging on string around the rim of a wide brimmed hat is a joke - stand still for longer than 5 seconds and they are all over you, in your ears, up your nose and they don't taste nice when you swallow one either !
Do I like Australia - YES, give me my time again and I'll be first in the queue to emigrate there !
