Can I ask if any of you computer savvy guys can help please?
I am taking my T-Mobile dongle to Ireland next month, I have been told I can set the lap top to receive only written text, and not the pictures and graphics that are included on many sites.
The idea is to reduce the download data [roving cost £7.50 per mega]
I was shown how to do this but have now forgotten
Your help would be appreciated.
Les.

Many sites - such as the BBC and MHF have a slimmer version.
However, I accidentally connected to the net in France using my T mobile SIM and spent over £9 in one minute!
Easier to look for a WiFi or a cyber cafe.
I have added a link to McDonalds Ireland - the link lists the branches that offer free WiFi!

Hi
Sorry to have to tell you that at £7.50 a megabyte you will be well advised to leave the dongle at home or unplugged ...even by switching off the pictures in web pages* you will be running up massive bills doing anything other than essential emailing..... and if you use email then use an address that is only known to friends that you need to be contacted by and make sure they do not add any attachments .... otherwise one email containg a normal photograph could cost you about £15 to download.
Mike
* to switch off the pictures in IE go to Tools > Internet Options > Advanced > untick "show pictures"
P.S. I f you do need a Motorhomefacts fix ..even at £7.50 a meg, then try the mobile version >>>
