You are probably looking at about £550 for awning and maybe £600 more for the privacy room. Then you have your fitting on top. You will probably have a few odds and sods added onto the price as well, fitting kit etc.

Do a Google search and put in what you have ordered and see what you can get.

From what I have been told (I don't do shows) things are usually cheaper at shows.

The first question I would ask is whether I really wanted/needed a safari room.

We have an unused safari room, still sealed in its box which came with our new van 5 years ago. Waste of money for the way we use our motorhome.
We don't stop anywhere long enough to justify carrying it and its not inconsiderable weight.
Have you got enough weight capacity to spare?

Hi,

The latest prices from Fiamma are £740 for the 5.5m awning and £545 for the front and sides making a total of £1285 with free fitting at Shepton Mallet Show subject to pre-ordering.

Regards

Peter

(P.S. They are cheaper on our website as we still have some stock at the old price.)

My Omnistor plus the residence kit plus fitting was just under a £grand, that was a year ago.

Edit....that was for a 3.5 metre awning

The new van is a Elegance i820 tag and their is only the 2 of us, well untill the family and the grandchildren decided they wanted to join us so the solution seemed to be a Safari room. Most of the time we will not reqire it but with all new toys everone in the family wants to join in.

Must just say how pleased we are with the reponce, what a great motorhome site.

Another Q

Has anyone any experience of the escorted type trips, ie 21 / 30 day jobs it just that the other half seems to feel it could be a nice trip and meet new like minded people.

No need to go on long trips, just go to some of the rallies and meets organised on here.
