When wildcamping (no mains hook up or engine running) I understand it is only possible to run 12v appliances.
Has anyone seen 12 fairy lights that run 12v & 240v so that you can use them in either situation?
Also do you have to be really careful what is plugged in do you run the risk of blowing stuff up? Or does it just run slower or not work?
Many Thanks,

hi,havn't seen dual voltage fairy lights, just either 240v or battery powered ones (duracell type) as for blowing stuff up..think thats a bit extreme, doubt you'll do that Laughing .. as for power options its either hook up,12v van battery or inverter of the 12v van battery to give you 240v

Just a thought; I've got some solar powered "fairy" lights; 80 LED lights on a 13.9m cable working off a single solar panel 6"x4"; designed for use outdoors and doing really well at moment lit for at least 6 hrs from dusk.
Have seen them advertised at £50 but I got mine for £18 incl p&p (48hrs courier service) PM me if you want details
Pam
