Probably wrong category, pls move if it is...

I note that over the last few days Dave has made a few changes,

1 - Photos - understand and suppose it makes sense
2 - Meets and Rallys now at top of list of posts - and huge list at bottom - and what seems stupid, is that these self-same posts on rally/meet end up in the list of 30 latest.

Surely this site is NOT just a rally/meet site, there is becoming (to me at least) far TOO much emphasis on this, links on left and right in calendar, links not at the top of posts, links in the 30 latest....

Come on, surely motorhoming is more than that...and the over-emphasis is, I think, please note, I say I think, wrong.

What do others think.... or perhaps it is me out of kilter with you all.

Carol

It wasn't bothering me Carol, though we are not the rallying types so these threads are of little interest. Rolling Eyes

Having said that I was looking at the Southport rally in August, as it would be very nice to meet a few members face to face, and Southport is a lovely venue. Very Happy

Hmmmmmm. I also think I agree about the over emphasis, but I'm not bovvered! Very Happy Very Happy

Hi Carol! Very Happy

I'm sorry to have no comment! Unlike me! Laughing

But I have my browser set to go straight to the forums page, bypassing the front page.

The first thing I do each day, (and 2nd...) is read the new posts on the forums. This is my primary purpose of visiting MHF. I simply touch the MHF icon on the quick-launch bar, and there they are. I don't use the front page so have no issue with it.

Stay well. Very Happy

I tend to agree with you Carol but I think due to the lack of replies we must be in a minority, either that or people aren't bothered either way....

I sometimes think lists on forums get too big and things get missed. I still preferred continental touring all in one, as I tend to miss things now that once I might have read or answered. I also feel that having France seperate from Spain Portugal etc doesn't seem the same as most folk make the journey through France and on to Spain etc so in effect one topic.

If having the front page full of advertisers keeps the subs down to £10.00, then fair enough.

other than that I dont really care whats on it.

I just go straight into the login bit via favourites.

OR if the advertisers are watching,

I think having the front page full of adverts is brilliant, its the page which I look forward to reading most out of the whole forum. Without the adverts which I use constantly for hundreds of pounds of purchases, I think this forum would certainly be less worthwhile.
