Looks like a good idea. Would like to see the control mechanism inside the van... is it ceiling mounted or a mast??

Also, point to consider, its only a 40cm dish. Crank up is 66cm. So you may have more viewing problems on the continent with the Camos.

We sold out of these at Peterborough. As you can see if you look at the unit on our website - LINK REMOVED BY MODERATORS - you'll see that it uses a ceiling-mounted cranking handle. Full installation and usage instructions are also on the website.

I'm off to Perpignan next week to check the performance of the Camos crank up and also to try another model which is slightly larger and will give roughly the equivalent performance of a conventional 65cm dish.

I'll report my findings on our website.

I can only comment of the Maxview, which I finished installing just this morning.

I am VERY impressed! Not only well built but carefully thought out and extremely well designed. Dead easy to fit and I found the satellite in under three minutes, never having laid a finger on a satellite dish before this one. Very Happy

I got it from Snelly after hearing his very enthusiastic comments about it, and he was not wrong. It's also worth mentioning that he's as cheap as anybody, and couldn't do enough to help with my several daft questions - even after he had pocketed my hard-earned. Very Happy Very Happy

That's REAL after-sales support. Thanks again Shane. Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy

Cheers

Not yet Terence, but he will, as he always does when he gets particularly good service. Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy

He also phoned Snelly a couple of hours ago to say thanks in person, and has agreed with Shane to give him a more personal recommendation to put on his website. Very Happy Very Happy

You may also note a couple of extra free plugs for Snelly on different topics - I don't think Snellyvision could be beaten for really excellent service. Very Happy Very Happy

There you go - yet another acknowledgement of first rate service.

My case rests. Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes

Here are some comments received from a customer recently concerning the Camos crank-up Flat-Sat:

"What a fantastic bit of kit. Bought this item at Peterborough show and fitted it myself a few days later. Took out the motorhome for a test run and in under a minute had a great signal, the only point i would say was that the instructions are not all that clear on certain parts but anyone with common sense would soon work it out.

"Flat Sat is excellent! We used it again down in west Wales and it is so easy to use. Had other MCC members asking how easy it was to use, so expect other sales."

I went to Perpignan and Barcelona last week to test the reception of this dish. It picked up 2D to the Spanish border but some channels were breaking up. I am confident that it will pick up all 2D channels over 99% of France. We expect a slightly larger model soon and that should give 100% reception of 2D in France.
