Not really a tip but while I was searching for other things I came across this free template and it is better than the one I made for myself. Not surprising as I only spent about 15 minutes making it. THere are other similar templates you can download free which may be more suitable for you unless of course, you like surprises in life and the shock or the rush when you see your monthly bank statement.
You will just have to manually highlight and delete the data that already exists in the sheet ie. everything in the blue highlighted columns. Just point and click with your mouse and press the 'delete' or 'del' key.
You could also highlight a block of numbers with your mouse and 'delete' a number of entries the same way.
That in mind if you print and use a paper version you loose a lot of the benefits that the computerised version would give you, like automatically calculating the totals etc.
I will try to attach a blank version for your use.
Regards,
Adrian

Mandy, save it as a template too so that each month you can start a new template then save it when completed under a new name, eg. May08 June 08 etc etc.

There is also a good budget planner (and many other helpful things about family finance) on http://www.moneysavingexpert.com which is managed by Martin Lewis who you may have heard on the Friday morning Jeremy Vine show on Radio 2 or on his own TV money programme.

Sorry for delay but I only allow myself one visit a day on here and it is between 6 and 8am usually.
Would like to thank you both for your help and guidance, however I am not going to now.
Gawd!!!! what a nightmare he has been since, he even stopped me eating a Weight Watchers pudding last night at 50p a go. Even when I pointed out to him that the less I weigh the further the fuel in the van will take us, he wasn't convinced.
So now you two can think up some good money making schemes to get us back into the life I had become accustomed
Seriously though, thanks for that
Scary as the outcome was!!
