Hi again, has anyone used a MAXVIEW GAZELLE Aerial on the move for freeview digital? If so, what did it perform like please ? Also, do you need to retune the channels when you pass from one transmitter to another ?

Cheers
P

Hello there,

No it will not perform on the move. Yes you do have to retune the Box when you move from Transmission areas.

Trev.

Once they crank up the transmitter power for digital (after analogue is turned off), it may be possible with the right receiver (I sell such a mobile DVB-T receiver) to watch it as you travel. Although its going to be subject to all sorts of factors including distance from transmitter and geography/terrain. Will be an interesting experiment to do in a few years time.

But it will still need retuning as it passes from one transmitter area to another.

Gerry I sell a box designed for mobile use that automatically retunes.

Shane,
Interesting, is this a STB or is it for PC? What make/model is it?

Its not a STB, its a proper professional box with 4 outputs. They are on my website Gerry, go take a look. Nice bit of kit for the money.

Shane,
Saw it, interesting piece of kit, ideal for multiple small screen TV in Motorhome. Fortunately I don't have to pay for my kit.

I don't pay for mine either, apart from in sweat! lol

It will happily display to any size tv with very good quality, not just small ones.
