We try to wave to other motorhome users, when it's safe to do so. Have found that The Dutch wave back, but the French NON!

Have also wondered why, some folk don't even seem to notice you, let alone wave back, even if you are in a similar unit.
For example, a Bongo or even nowdays, an Autosleeper symbol ( or one of it's derivatities) d'oh!

I assume because they are fixed on the road ahead, that they are not actually looking at what is in front of them Shame on you

Hi PhredC, funny you should mention the AA patrolmen saluting, I used to stand on the roadside saluting as members passed.all dressed up in my AA uniform. As you say it was dropped when it became apparant that the volume of traffic made it a distraction to the drivers.
As to waving, pointless me only waving to similar makes just yet Laughing Laughing
The others are still waiting for theirs.
on a motorway one cannot always see over to the other side, same with dual carrigeways, this leaves us with us facing oncoming motorhomes which we do wave energectically to.
Yes Telbell the sticker is in the rear window, too big to put in the front unless it is an RV.
forgotten now who saw us on the A40 was it.did we wave if you overtook us.
as we only cruise at 60mph.

I wave when waved to in the mh
I nod to other bikers and sometimes accidently to scooter riders.
when nodded to.
I stick two fingers up at car drivers that cut me up when in my van.

I am suprised. We waved at all the French motorhomes we saw over in France a few weeks ago, most waved back even if it was just the lifting pf the hand off the wheel.
