In the end I had two 85 watt panels fitted at the peterborough show in the carpark by A B Butt.Very impressed with the work they did.Would recommend.I also had the little gizmo fitted that trickle charges the cab battery.No more pulling the van upto the house once a month for a top-up.
Nice fixings, but I am surprised they didn't put the cable entry under one of the panels. This keeps it out of harm's way and prevents 'rain hammer'.
I have a single 85 watt panel and (then) one 100 a/h battery, it kept me going for 8 days in the New Forest, including the snowy Sunday.
Guy said he couldn`t put the cable entry under a panel due to where the high level cupboards were in the motorhome.Drilled straight through roof above cupboard,and its the shortest route.
Another way to look at it is... If I did get any trouble from the entry point,I would be able to get at in an instant,rather than flaf about undoing brackets ect,and there is bundles of sikaflex under and around it,so the hardest rain shouldn`t affect it at all.
Looks a lovely job. Not sure where I could put them on mine as the habitation aircon is in that space in the middle.
Getting quite tempted now......

I think you might have a slight problem there Ed,in that your hab aircon is situated at the front where I have my panels,but I`m sure you would get maybe a smaller panel or two in other areas on the roof,albeit for such a big van,there is not the room up there that you would think there is.
Picture below shows approx area,and my panels fit in there very comfortably as you can see.
