Winter wheels

From my old tugging days I have a pair of those winter wheels you put on to keep caravan tyres in good nick and also as a security device.
So my question is -
Will they fit in place of the front wheels of a motoerhome as an added security while on the drive over winter and has anyone done this?
Got me thinking with recent thread of stolen motorhome.
