I'm looking for my next bit of kit for the 'van and it's going to be food related.
However I can't decide between a Remoska or a Cobb BBQ. Both get good write ups and produce more then edible results.
The Remoska is cheaper but needs an EHU and it can easily be used all year round both in the 'van and at home.
The Cobb more expensive, doesn't need a EHU, but it can only be used during good weather.
Both have plus points and negatives and hence my indecisiveness is back Rolling Eyes

So what did you plump for and what swayed you?

Hi,
We had a similar problem with the choice of Cadac and Remoska, so decided on both, got the Cadac at beginning of summer for all the out door eating and breakfast which has worked out great.

Then got the Remoska and cook book in September ready for the winter months of being more on hook ups and not wanting to sit outside in the snow on the Alps.

Out of the 2 I cannot say which I prefer as I love them both in their own ways, I don't get chance to experiment much at home as we are always busy so have created all sorts of things for the remoska. I would recommend the split pan and the inner rack for it though we use both those on a regular basis. We have the Grand as there are usually 4 of us but most say the standard is more than big enough for 2 and will still take the rack and the split pan. The mini tends to be more for single cooking and wastes less energy. My next buy for it is a shallow pan that will cook that bit faster things that in general don't take that long but can with the huge Grand pan.

I won't go into the Cadac as you obviously prefer the Cobb which I have never had only seen used from a distance but many recommend this also.

I suppose it depends on how satisfied you are with your current BBQ, how often you use it and why you want to change. If you don't have one at all then is it because you'd not use one very often ?

How often you are off hook up and unable to use a Remoska is another point to consider.
