Hi all

I've been searching for tyres for our car; our local independent dealer are usually quite good, but I looked on the web and came across tyre-shopper.co.uk . I put in the details, and 2 Avon tyres are £123.00 all inclusive, compared with £149.85 at National Tyres, and £155.82 at the local independent. The silly thing is, it sends you to National Tyres' local depot anyway Rolling Eyes , so I'm booked in to have the tyres fitted on Wednesday morning. There appear to be simliar savings on Michelin / Continental etc, and presumably no reason why you couldn't get motorhome tyres there as well.

Cool Wink

Hi Mike

My friend has done exactly that and was very satisfied with the result. Can't remember which brand he got, but they were one of the "biggies" and cheaper than anywhere else he could find.

We can't understand the logic either, but it seems to work so I shall also take advantage when I need new tyres.

Cheers

I took the car in today & had the tyres fitted. Speaking to the manager at National, he said they had loads of them coming through, he couldn't see the logic in it either, very little profit for them. At least they are getting some business which would have gone elsewhere, but as National were the cheapest in the area anyway, a bit self-defeating! Confused

Hi Bognormike
We have just had two new rear tyres on our Swift Gazelle from tyre shopper, hubby took the van along on the appointed day and was very impressed, no fuss, no long waits and a very good price for a pair of Avon tyres.
