Hello,
Download and print to keep in the van the following:

www.maplin.co.uk/Media/PDFs/dtt_product_guide_2_8.pdf

It lists H/V polarisation and channel numbers for all tranmitters.
I have used freeview on a asda durabrand 12v £19 box with status 530 aerial/booster for the last 4 years. We have always received freeview.
I also have all the TV transmitters as POI on TomTom so if I can't see other aerials, I know which direction to point.

Neil

If you look at this MHF thread:
http://www.motorhomefacts.com/ftopict-44859-freeview.html+pr oblems

The first Spykal post includes a link which will lead you to a TOMtom POI download for tv transmitters.

What I do is if I can't see a local aerial (they might not be using digital though) is use tom to navigate to my nearest decent power main transmitter. Get the direction and use a compass to aim the aerial. Use my list of transmitters to see if Vertical/Horizontal and away you go.

Sometimes you copy other people on site and only get a few channels. They might be only wanting analogue signal. So give it a try. It may sound complex, but is easy once you know what you are doing.

Have a nice day,
Neil
