My advice would be to stick with it. Something has gone wrong for you and it sounds like that something could have been handled better etc etc by the "powers that be".
With a static caravan you have to visit that campsite etc. With a motorhome, you come off the ferry, sea the horrendous weather forecase for Spain, so instead turn left for Italy.

I am on my second Fiat based van, and other than scuttlegate etc and the initial X250 recalls, I think the Fiat is a good old girl.

I'm genuinely amazed that, with all the posts on here and info in magazines etc, that anyone would consider buying the new Fiat. I know many people have had no problems but far far too many have. You don't get all these postings about Mercs Renaults and Transits.
Manafacturers use them because they are cheap, but I wonder how badly re-sale values will be as prospective purchasers become more aware of the problems with them and the dreadful attitude Fiat have to their customers.

There are at least 15 threads on this site with well over 1000 posts complaining about the new Fiat. On the MMM site there are 773 posts in a similar vein. There are even videos on "You Tube". Yet motorhome manufacturers are continuing to base ther vans on Fiats and, even more amazingly, people are buying them.
Fiat vans look absolutely fantastic but their vans and especially their customer services fall short.

I have recently changed our MH from Ford to Renault. I was thinking about Mercedes until we went to the Spanish Motocross GP and parked next to Vic Eastwood (older members may remember him from grandstand sat afternoons on the TV) anyway Vic had an Autotrail based on Mercedes and the thing was sat there unable to move. The electrics are made in China . The ECU cannot recognise the signal from the chip on the key so it cannot turn off the immobiliser. That was the third time it had happened to Vic and his wife. Each time they have to move to a hotel. The local Merc garage sends the key back to germany and its reprogrammed so the thing will start. Merc do this free but do not pay for hotel bills , flight back to UK etc. When I was talking to Vic two other people came up and said how they had the same problems with six cylinder Mercs. Vic had ordered a new MH and just wanted rid of the Autotrail. We were totally trouble free with our Ford. Its early days yet with the Renault but fingers crossed. No way was I going to buy a Fiat Fix It Again Tomorrow
PS I forgot to say that each time the MH was off the road for 10 days

Sorry you have had a bad experience with your newly aquired Motorhome.
I know how frustrating it is to have continual problems with a new Motorhome.
I will not bore you with the details but we have had nearly 8 months of niggles with ours and when we finally got the last problem ironed out someone drove towards us and knocked our wing mirror clean off!
I began to think the Motorhome was jinxed and, like you, wanted shut of it!
We have stuck with it and I am pleased we did as it is a great Motorhome and we have had some fantastic trips in it despite all the glitches!
Unfortunately some manufacturers, dealers and base vehicle dealerships offer a very poor quality of after sales service and it seems that that is the norm when you have purchased a Motorhome.
I am sure that there are some good representatives of the Motorhome industry out there and well done to you but I have had very shoddy service in general.
With that said Rob I would stick with it as the pleasure we get from the Motorhome outweighs the poor treatment we have received.
it just makes you get tougher when you have deal with a Motorhome related incident!
Good luck!
Val

Thats because theres thousands more FiARTS sold than all the others.More people to report faults.
Its not the engine itself as such, but all the other little bits and peices around it thats been the problem, and the vehicle drives like a dream to be honest.I really love driving it.
I am not happy with FiART myself, having been back to the garage many times to correct stuff, and general customer care is cack imo.
Would I buy another FiART? NO,not with their current attitude towards their customers I wouldn`t,and all the childish design faults. At the end of the day its a lot of aggro being a new FiART owner.
