My freeview box which I have had for a few years is playing up, I have been looking around but all the new ones seem to be "Digital" set top boxes, will they work with an arial or must it be through a dish.
Cheers Sid

Hi Sid
they work through an aerial, your old box was digital anyway.

Hi SidT

freeview is digital and the signal is transmitted through normal aerials (generally), although some older home aerials may need an upgrade.

You can also get free channels through a Sky dish and box. Requires a one off payment to Sky.

Sid,
All Freeview boxes are digital. Make sure you only buy a box with the Freeview logo and the pink Digital Tick logo. If it doesn't have the digital tick logo then there is no guarantee that it will still work after switchover.
