Just heard from Rosemary and Brian (the snails) that the aire at Brugge is now €22.50 April to November, €15 low season. Its now Rip Off Belgium as well as Rip-Off Britain.
Cheers Sid

Hi

At these prices, I shall avoid the aire and stick to campsites or Calais docks!

Russell

Note - the motorhome parking areas around Lake Garda in Italy are 15 euro per 24 hours.

€15 isn't too bad for out of season Rolling Eyes . What are Memling charging?
At that rate there's going to be alot of MH's parked on the side of the ring road.

Thanks Brian

when we were there last Spring, they had new motorhome pitches, smaller, (about aire-size) on hard standings, but they were the same price as a normal pitch. If I was on one of those I would expect to pay less than somebody on a full size pitch Rolling Eyes

We were at Membling about 3 weeks ago. The site was fairly full with a rally of mixed MHs and Caravans. There was still space both on the grass and on the hardstanding.

In view of the fact that you get showers etc at the campsite, I think it is very good value compared with the aire which has always been chock a block every time we have been past.

When we arrived at the Campsite it had been very wet for a few days in Brugge and the hardstanding was very reassuring! Yes the pitches were tight, but were clearly marked so no being squashed into a corner with others muscling in between you and your neighbour.

We were at Klein Strand in Jabbeke a few weeks ago. 10kms from Brugge. Bus stop 5 mins walk from site. Cycle path from site into Brugge IIRC we paid about 15euro Mains, waste disposal and fresh water all on pitch. Shop. 2 restaurants/bars. Nice site on the side of a lake with man made beach.
