Any help would be appreciated, we're off to France on Monday and this could help.

I have have a Tom Tom 720 (or is it a 710?) and am keen to install some of the download options available on this site. I am reasonably computer literate but have never been enthusiastic enough to delve into the workings of the Nat Nav (never even had its disc in the computer, I just run it as it came).

If I download the POI's I'm interested in to the laptop I presume I just paste them into the appropriate folder within Tom Tom - which is accessible through a program on the disc? Yes / No?

Yes.

It is accessible as an external drive from within File Explorer.

When you past them into your TomTom, they then appear in the POI list when you go to that link on the TomTom.

i find it best to connect to the pc with tomtom home, then minimise tt-home. then you can treat the nav as a disk, and copy poi's into the map folder.
