Hi,
Bought a new 17" Tv for my van. I don't have a fixed bracket and not to keen to have one, as TV would be visible through the windows and might prove too tempting for some.

Anyway as it needs to be put away during travel I thought I might buy one of thoes TV Bags. OOps They start at about £25 and go up to £45 depending on size.

In the shed found a cab seat cover. Black with a couple of red stripes at each side. fairly thick as very slightly padded. glued a piece of foam to the inside seat area of the cover and another to the back rest area.

Put the tele inside on the seat part and covered with the back cover.

The existing elastics for securing, when used as a cab seat allow the cover to be tightend to fit any size TV Very secure, and well protected, and not visible from windows, and really easy to use as it completly opens out when removing or putting the TV away.

Cost £2

Good on you ! I like posts like this. In the good old days when we were tent then caravan owners we always designed and made our own bits and pieces because we simply could not afford to buy them.

Now we are ( a bit) better off we still enjoy making something for practically nothing and it gives us more pleasure to use it than to buy off the peg.

Thanks Grizz.

I'm just so proud of it. Not only does it keep the TV secure and protected but it also fitted perfectly exactly where I wanted it to.

Right under the TV pulldown shelf bungee'd to the clips holding the table to the wall.

Oh what a clever girl Wink Wink Wink
