Stew,

If you put 'Anonymous' into the search author you get amongst things postings by Guest.

I'm just curious because the avatar panel contains not even any details such as motorhome, location or status, but NOT even those titles.

Is this because SB (Special Branch) or Mi6 requested it? Wink Wink

Sorry that this question is 'off topic' but as the original posters name has again popped up can he / she or someone explain who Anonymous is?

I see from their gold crown that they are a paid up member but they are NOT in the members list........

Anonymous, you were not on the TV at about 3pm to-day ALL channels by any chance?

I have used the search facility for anyone to have asked this question before but that was negative which makes it even more strange Confused

Hi MicknPat

If you follow the thread posts I think you should be able to deduce that the original poster was Pusser. The reason he shows as anonymous I would guess, is that after the site crashed in May 2005 Pusser re-registered under a different user-name, then very quickly reverted back to his original user-name. This caused his identity to become confused when the original records were recovered and replaced from the failed hard drive. The identity of the original poster could then not be matched up with a newly registered user so reverted to the default user-name "anonymous". There will no doubt be a number of instances of this where posts entered before May 2005 are concerned.

It's one of the reasons that MHF became a subscription site, to avoid future crashes by using much more sophisticated (and expensive) hosting facilities that offer a more stable environment with reliable back-ups in case of hardware failure.

Hope this explains the situation. Laughing

we used CB radio in our taxi's, this gave us ability to chat amongst ourselves for information about road conditions etc.We often got HGV drivers coming in for directions or a 95.(location). this was spoilt then when we had to go onto legal channels and all and his dog started.
however there are still quite a few cabbies still using them.

I've fitted a CB in our motorhome, and one in our little towcar, and both work a treat!!

CB is so quiet these days, that you can pick an obscure channel and use it all day without hearing anyone else. They are cheap, have good range, and have plenty of choice!!

Stew is right,
CB,s can be very usefull. No license needed, common standard for Europe and if properly installed good range. If you travel in a party then a necessity. Much better than using mobile phones.
