Hi Harry & Pat here - we just joined yesterday having bought a 2004 Rapido 741F 2 weeks ago. This marks a return to Motor Caravanning after a break of 26 years ( used to have a Bedford CF Holdsworth - but the kids got bigger -you know the story ) I'm absolutely chuffed to bits with my 'new' van - the Rapido has so many features ( cabin air con, van en route heating, gas & electric heating & hot water ) - its just a technology jump from 1982 !!. We've been to Northbrook Farm Worthing this weekend to check it out and can't wait for impending retirement - 5 weeks away. First update project will be to go to 1 propane GAS bottle ( already fitted) + 1 re-fillable 'lite' bottle. -should be straightforward from the documentation I've seen. Then (yummy yummy ) - tunable satellite dish in lieu of current Status 530 TV aerial Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy

Sound purchase - let someone else have the teething problems and depreciation.

Should be enough good ( Ha ) weather left this year to have more fun.

Enjoy Smile

Hi Harry and Pat,
welcome from another Rapido owner, we are on our 2nd!! The first was a 2003 775F, and we have just taken delivery of a new 7097F. We searched for over a year, but couldn't find anything else other than a Rapido which suited our budget with the same quality and finish. We believe we now have as near to the perfect MH for us.
I hope you enjoy yours as much as we have, may see you at a MHF rally at some point?
Colin

Thanks for the few words- yes I'm impressed by the quality of the Rapido conversion. Once we'd made our mind up that its was Rapido 2 berth fit it turned out to be quite difficult locating the model we were after ( 741F) - a search of Autotrader and dealers web site and private sales turned up only 4 in UK - 1 in Martins of Exeter ( we bought), 1 in Hayling Island, 1 in Cambridge (LHD), 1 in the Borders . So there's not a plethora on the forecourts - probably due to 2 berth fixed fit being not greatly sought after - but in terms of specification probably the only other thing I would want in addition would be an automatic gearbox. This web site is a goldmine of info - is there a MHF windscreen badge -how would I spot another MHF member ??

Thanks

Harry

Hi Harry and Pat,
Welcome from another Rapido owner. We too have a Rapido 741F and have found it to be ideal for the wife and I.
Hope you have found your ideal van and have as much enjoyment in it as we have especially with retirement just around the corner
