Hi.

Before we started fulltiming we would drain the tank out after every trip and never had a problem but we did notice that the water did taste funny if we had the heating on and the water in the flexi pipe just under the tap was used it tasted of plastic. So we had to run the water for a couple of seconds before we used it. We did fit a nature pure [MHF Link] system 2 years ago and have had no problems at all. We never buy any bottled water no matter where we are.

I concure - nature pure [MHF Link] system is the way to go. It would be a must for a future change of motorhome.

Cheers

Hi

I must have a stomach like a cement mixer as I use a garden hose to fill the tanks, never filter water and have even been known to drink motorhome tap water!

Easiest option for you is a large plastic milk container, washed out thoroughly and used as your fresh water store.

Russell

WE also use the garden hose to fill the fresh water tank, but we do put in the purification tablets.
We clean our teeth with this water, but we do carry a couple of 5 litre containers for drinking water.
Never had any problems Very Happy Very Happy

As I'm regularly known to drink straight from streams & rivers I've never given this any thought. We empty the tank after each trip but then just fill up before we leave (or on arrival if at a site) & drink from tanks. Never noticed any funny taste & all things considered I think any health risk must be very very minor.
