To include an image in a posting you must first get that picture on the internet. Either upload it to the MHF photo gallery, or follow the FAQ/help/guidance pages provided by your ISP to upload material to the webspace they allocate to their users. You should consider the size of the image, both in terms of pixels and file size.
You then need to know the web address or "url" (universal resource locator or some such expansion) for that picture. You can get this by hovering your mouse over the internet picture, right click, select properties by left clicking which will bring up a box with the address/URL listed. Copy the text of that address.
Click the Img box to the top-right of the white message box you are typing in. Paste the photo webpage address after it, and click the Img box again (which will have changed to Img*).
You should then see as part of the text of your message something like the following, but with square brackets instead of the round ones shown here:
(img)http://homepage.ntlworld.com/daburleigh/CAMOS.JPG(/img)
If I had used square brackets you would have seen that picture instead of text! You can always type the [img] tags as text instead of clicking on the small Img box, which is merely intended as a short cut.
Check everything is OK by clicking Preview. If no picture appears, something needs tweaking. Once the message looks as you want, click on Submit.
The first time is tedious; after that a doddle.
