Hi, welcome to the site

If you have a 3 way fridge it works on hookup(240volts), Gas when you are stopped on site and 12v electric when the engine is running. The reason for this is the battery would be flat in minutes if the alternator wasnt continually recharging the engine battery.

The lesiure battery (sometimes called habitation battery) can be under either seat ot under the beds or under the floor or anywhere else the manufacturer could find a space, ask whoever you bought it from or wait for another to reply on here.

Bob

on my 1992 dethleffs (a521 globetrotter? I can never remember the model number), the leisure battery is situated behind the passenger seat (lhd).

but as the other posts say the fridge won't work on just battery (12v).

hey juliebob

I meant to ask... what variety of dethleffs have you?

is it same as mine? - see my avatar....

good luck and have fun with it.
considering mine (like yours) is a 92, i've found the build quality to be very good.
