Goto :setting........General.........Network.

U'll find the data roaming there.

Click off, should work.

Must admit I didn't have the nerve to try it in France this summer. Perhaps another year.

If you leave WiFi switched on then just keep any eye when it finds a WiFi connection, and you need to be pretty close to it. If it's not got a padlock symbol then you can use it.

All the best Wilt Wink

Thanks Wilt - much appreciated Very Happy

Yes I too would be reluctant to try it out whilst travelling through France and Europe - but what a shame to have such a useful gadget and then feel we cannot use it to its full potential. Me thinks it's about time they really brought the roaming charges down to a more acceptable level?

I know what you mean subaru as I found it really difficult at first - but I must say that the little stylus pen that I bought off eBay has made a huge difference and I am now finding I am quicker texting on my iPhone than I was on my conventional mobile phone! See here
