I've been glancing through our new Owner Handbook and noticed that the service interval for new Ducato's is 40/45,000 km. In fact it would appear from the table of items to be checked that Fiat suggest the higher rather than lower kilometerage.

In English money that's 30,000 miles which could mean some motorhomes never, ever get serviced Shocked

A lot of manufacturers these days suggest annual servicing where mileage is low but I can find no reference to such a suggestion in the Fiat book.

Strange

Hi

Some of the dealers will offer a low mileage service.

Have a word with Piccadilly Motors. I have never handed a penny over their counter but they have sorted out various things for me with my old van.

Sounds good but there is a low mileage service in there some where which is every year even if you have only done 200 miles. They will get your money some way plus any recalls would be done also

Hi Andy

I quizzed our local Peugeot dealer and he said a bi-ennial service would be perfectly OK - so long as I was willing to check the fluid levels regularly.

I had a letter yesterday from my local Fiat garage to say my van ( an X250) is probably due a service next month, " probably" seems a bit vague.
The van is coming up 1 year old with approx 6000 miles done. They say that not having an annual service may affect the warranty, so I will have it serviced.
viator.

Forgot to mention Embarassed - I asked specifically about warranty, and our chap said bi-ennial servicing would be OK.

Dunno - that's what I was told! Rolling Eyes

I called Fiat Camper Assist and it was confirmed that the services were the stated mileage in the service interval bok or ONCE A YEAR - first one due 28000 miles or 1 year... silly to say that some vans will never be serviced - its always a certain mileage or one year whichever is soonest.

I asked my dealer about this very thing recently.

Its 30K or every 12 months.

Hope this helps.

I had the low mileage service las April, my dealer says that next April I need to have the full annual service.

The low mieage service appeared to be only a glorified oil and filter change. Cost....nearly £300...!
