Hello

I have Just brought a small awning for my low roof Renault traffic panel van. Staying in BOURG-ST-MAURICE for a few days over the winter and our pitch is on hard standing ground so has anyone got a solution to pegging the awning to the ground if its on concrete what else could I use to keep it clipped down or stable ?

Snow coz you aint going to get the pegs in.

You may need extra strong rafter poles and we also used two or even three extra uprights

Is it freestanding.

Could try what is known as granite pegs, available in good camping shops or on our website.

Take two or three buckets, fill them with water and stand the poles in them. Wait until they freeze and you have stable poles.

Thanks for the replies the awning is a free standing one yes Wupert!

granite pegs seem like a good one but if its on concrete still no good i will get some in case there is some grass

The ice is a good idea i like it but will it not defrost in the day ? i have been in ski resorts before and the sun has been really hot .

I will take some buckets though and give it a go maybe find some rocks and tie it around

When you shoot off to ski drop one side of legs to make sure the snow slides off.

Do the same at night coz it can seriously snow

I have seen 1mnew snow overnight often

Make sure that at the end of your hol you can unfreeze your awning to pack it
