Hi, you have probably bought one of the best vans for winter use. Although the 7RG does'nt have a double floor the conversion is very well insulated, the floors are 55mm the walls and roof are 35mm. Domestic size plumbing is frost protected, there is on road heating for the conversion area and powerful combi-boiler. I think there is also heating in the garage, the only weak spot will be draughts from the ducato cab.
Regards,
Pepandspice.

Hello

We have a Laika 100i ecovip 6 years old now. We are taking it to Morocco via France and Spain, so expecting some cold weather.

We used our motorhome a couple of weeks back and although the weather outside was cold we were warm inside, the trick I think is not to let the motorhome get to cold, so we tend to leave the heating on tick over, if we are on EHU we also use a small heater. Just in the process of trying to fit new longer heavy curtains to the front of the cab as the doors are a little draughty.

We dont have a combi boiler our s is truma. runs on gas. Although the manual does say you can drive whilst on a lot of people and myself included dont think you should drive with LPG/gas on.

These vehicles are well insulated, we have a ski locker so that bit is double, and we can direct heating to the waste tank, so that part is winterised, also our waste pipes are more the RV type (domestic type)

I think the vehicles are fairly winterised, but didnt reply to your posting because we have not had that much experience in cold weather.

Good luck
Pat
