Hi

Arrived at the camper for a trip to leeds to find flat batteries, all three of them. I do not think I left anything on but dead as a door nail!

Anyway called AA and they came down in no time. Big problem the battery was so flat it needed connecting to the AA van and a power pack. The guy had all sorts of problems getting two sets of jump leads on the battery.

Has anyone had this problem before? Anyone any idea why all three batteries should go flat, what could i have left on?

Luigi

Two sets of Jump leads? weird, but oh well.

Anyway when it all got going again, did it all work as expected on the trip?

if it was starter battery there are a few things and same if it was just the leisures but both sets ??

Ignition left on? but even that requires a screwed up wiring of the split charge relay.

When was the last time the vehicle was used?

Yes had the same problem a few weeks ago.Starter battery flat as a pancake. AA called and jump started. Suspect that the alarm was the cause as everything else was off. Had no problem with the 2 leisure batteries tho' as I had been pluging them in for a charge every couple of weeks. I spose that I should have started the engine weekly instead of fortnightly. The newer Fiat Ducatto is fitted with a freedom battery, when it goes flat it must be bench charged at 16v.

After six months we had a problem with ours going flat all the time, with no apparent reason, once we hav=d a new battery fitted, under warrenty al was fine.
