We are planning to repeat our trip to Slovenia and Croatia of 10 years ago, but this time extend into Bosnia, which seems to be a rising tourist destination. Has anyone else been to Bosnia, and if so, do you have any hints and tips please?
Thanks
Andy

I was there more than 20 years ago, of course not by motorhome. It is defintely on our list.
I would definitely suggest visiting Mostar, Sarajevo and then down the Neretva valley towards the Adriatic and you come to the coast close to Dubrovnik.

This is a link to our MH club web site - it's in Slovene but you can see some phorographs and everybody said they thoroughly enjoyed it.
I can translate it but not today - I have been translating since 9.00 am, so it's enough for today.

Cilak
Thanks Cilak, very useful. Google Translate provides a pretty reasonable instant translation from Slovene into English, at least good enough to understand the what's going on.
Obviously, we will post details of the trip here on our return, and on www.pippins.me.uk

Enjoy your trip.
If you have any questions, I can post them on the Slovenian MH forum and I'm sure somebody will have the answer.

We will be in Croatia in June, and hope to visit some islands. Does anyone have any experience of Croatian ferries, and an idea of the cost of the following ferries, one way May and June, please?
Ploce to Peljesic
Peljesic to Korcula
Krk toll bridge
Mali Losinj to Zadar. Do we need to book?
Baska (Krk) to Senj
Baska- Lopar (Rab)
regards
Andy

Hello we went a few years back on an organised motorcycle tour of the balkans. We loved Bosnia, Mostar was magical, and so was Sareavo (sorry brain not working). We were very fortunate that we booked our tour with a Slovenia touring company. So we had a translater and someone who could tell us the history and take us off the beaten track. We saw some beautiful countryside. We also loved Montenegro which was totally unspoilt, but whilst we were there the Russians are buying every piece of land that they can, so I think things will change.
We went to the Islands of Pag and Hvar in Croatia, Hvar had some campsites. The Ferries were quite cheap, but not very big, maybe someone else can advise you on that aspect as we only had a motorcycle.
I think Croatia is more set up for mootrhoming, and we did see a few motorhomes there, but none in Bosnia and Montenegro. But things are moving fast out there so who knows. You have to be careful not to venture of some of the roads in the countryside as they still have active mines there.
Hi Andy,
Haven't checked the site for quite a few days.
As for the ferries I do not know prices but they are not expensive. You do not have to book in advance.
I am sure you'll find a lot of information here
