Hi
Does anyone know of a source for POI (waypoints) for UK and France
Campsites that will work with the Garmin 2610 map source.

Hi,
there are some Garmin waypoints on http://www.jollyinteresting.co.uk/gps/gps.html website for campsites in the UK and France, but these are the only ones i've come across. I would be interested in any others that are about.

Thanks for that, Peko.
I've downloaded these files, but they can't be opened. How do I actually use the information contained in them? I have the Mapsource CDs to put onto the computer, or do I download them direct to my Garmin GPS?
Thanks.

Hi Barry and Sue,
I haven't used them myself, but you can add waypoints from your computer to the Garmin via the usb connection. I assume that these will be put on the Garmin in the same way using the Mapsource software provided by Garmin on the CDs.

Good Luck and let me know how it goes
Very Happy

Ive just received an e-mail from garmin regarding a major update to the
mapsource software for 2610 etc.
Its updated to version 6.7.

There seem to be loads of changes - one and a half A4 sheets to print out all of them!

Its a free download from the Garmin website

Is that a MapSource update, Hymie, or a 2610 update?

Thanks for that, Dave. How do you actually "insert" the data? Onto the maps first or straight onto the gps unit?
