Hi all,
We just had our first overnight stay in the motorhome, and it was great.
We have one of those lidl satellite dishes but couldn't be bothered setting it up and using it just for the night.
What we were thinking of using is a quick and easy telescopic set up for when we are only stopping for a night or two. We want to pick up regular tv and/or freeview. It must also be compact enough to store in the overcab area. I was going to use some glass sucker type things and cable ties or something to secure it to the van.
There are hundreds of different makes and models out there that i'm lost as to which one to go for.
So based on our requirements, could you guys and gals please post your suggestions.
We have a suitcase sat dish too but rarely use it unless in some really out of the way spot.
We also have a flying saucer which is good if we park in the next field to the transmitter but for every other time we use the aerial I mentioned in this post:-

Yep, i had looked through that thread, they all seem to be pretty much the same type. I was just looking for one that specifically folded down, nice and easy.
By the way, if i attach it to the bike rike, would this interfere, or give a greater surface area for the aerial to work?
The Grade aerial that I use and pictured in that old thread
is really tiny...for storage it fits easily into a small overhead locker in my van no need to worry about taking it take it apart, and it pulls in avery strong signal ... the mast I use is a three piece pole all folds down to less than 18" long. Thy to get to an accessory shop that stocks them and take a look I am sure that you will be surprised how small it is.

This looks a good one.
The thing to remember is that many sites have poor TV reception and so a good amplifier and directional aerial are useful.
