Does anyone have experience of self seeking sat systems fitted to imported German motor homes? Can they be used in U/K, do they need to be re--programed ?

Laughing Hi rommel. They are basically the same as the UK ones. You just need to search for the UK Satellite on Astra 2 instead of Astra 1 that it will probably be set at. Wink

Shocked Provided of course it is a Digital system and not Analogue. Laughing

Hi Rommel,

I have one and had no problems so far.
I am pretty sure there is a provision for different languages on the menu and as JSW has said it can be reset for different satellites.

Points for all who do not know this:
Occasionally you will lose some programmes from your TV Guide, this is usually overcome by leaving the aerial up and the digibox on standby and hey presto they come back !
The other thing that happens sometimes is that you get 'searching for listings' and nothing comes. The remedy at home is to turn off the digibox at the mains for about 30 mins and turn on again (it is apparently a static build up that decays). In a MH because the system is not actually earthed you must pull the mains plug and leave for about 30 mins. It works.

Is it better to travel hopefully than to arrive ?
