I read in a motorhome magazine last week that blow outs are more frequent on our vechicles than other vechicles

Blowouts and changing 'spare' tires, is making me as to whether I should rush out and get one.

I'll admit, it never crossed my mind before with having a Roadside Service, but now I am becoming concerned

Do you carry a spare and where do you keep it?

(Those of you that do carry a spare, is it mounted on a wheel already or do you just carry the tire?)

Have any of you had experience of blow outs or changing a tyre in some remote area or abroad ?

Thanks!

Your sat on your own tooooo much worrying.

I've always had big vehicles/commercials, never heard of anyone carrying just a tyre! Neither have I come across a production vehicle without a spare wheel & tyre. If you choose not to carry one is your choice, but don't forget to carry substanial tools to losen the nuts off and a decent jack that WILL fit under the vehicle with a flat tyre. Been there...

If blowout is a worry why not consider fitting Tyron Safety Bands. We had them in the caravans for years. Not cheap but would give you a little peace of mind
