Hi Folks
ChristyM back here again with more questions. I think I have my search for my first MH narrowed down to either a new CI Riveria 181 for €52k or a 2003 Benimar Europe 6000ST for €49k. My question is why would I not pay the extra €3k for a newer and bigger MH? The main extras that the Benimar has are solar panels, outdoor shower and a bike rack, whereas the Riveria will have a 5 year water ingress warranty and a seperate shower, which with 4 kids would be very handy. Does the Riveria have a bad name, will I end up tearing my hair out going to and from the supplier (which is 200 miles away). Are Benimars that good a make that they can charge such a premium?
Hopefully someone out there will be able to give me a few pointers.
Thanks
Christy |

Hi Christy
We bought a brand new CI Riviera 181 G 2 months ago and we totally love it . I do believe the CI brand is a cheaper brand name as they go but the inside and the finish is just as good as the others. At the end of the day its what suites your requirements that you must consider. The separate shower is a god send and I would never go for something otherwise. We got ours through the CI dealer in Dublin Annesley Williams motors on the old airport road. Call Jeff Williams he will give you all the information you need to know.
We looked around Brownhills at hundreds of different makes and models and we still though the Riviera was excellent value for money, and it fitted the layout we wanted, the finishs was better then some of the top brand names and it has a full oven etc... I'm sure if you are buying new you can get a deal on the bike racks etc.... But call Jeff williams he will be more then happy to give you some advise. |

This is an almost impossible question. If I say e.g. buy the Benimar and you do and end up not liking it then you want speak to me again.
I think you need to do two things called as everyone knows, the winston churchil sale.
In one column right down everything you like about both and then in the other, right down everything you are not keen on. When you have done that throw it away and go back and take some time in each motorhome and you will feel what is the right one to buy. It will call you.... |
