[b:a09e95680d][i:a09e95680d]Hi There!

Yep, It's difficult to strike a happy balance. I'm also factoring in the cost of having a tow bar fitted to the van, plus the braked A frame assy, it adds up to nearly a couple of grand!! Also, I'm pretty sure that it will hammer the payload as well!!

Considoring we intend to stay in each area for a week or more, I'm thinking the money would be better spent going towards roof aircon, and a diesel gennie...... Probably easier driving abroad without towing as well..... Confused [/i:a09e95680d][/b:a09e95680d]

You may use a CB rig abroad if they are the CEPT frequencies, legally if you have a licence.
If you propose to use the unique to UK 27MHz Rigs then you are breaking the law, however the chance of getting caught are slim and many ralliers use the UK frequencies abroad.

From July the requirement for a UK CB licence is removed and you can use the UK or CEPT frequencies at legal power levels licence free.
