Hi Ray,

Are you about?

On page 65 of Decembers MMM there's a campsite Alantic Parc 27 ks north of Agadir.

It looks very smart and well laid out, the facilities look good as well.

Have you visited the site?

Morocco seems to be getting very popular, had a couple of enquiries from "Caravanners" who wanted details.

It's five years since we were last in Morocco and if this site is now the norm thinks are looking up.

We liked the site and the hot springs at Abeino, they had some character and atmosphere.about them. Fort Bou Jerif was another place for some peace and Quiet.

Don

Hi Don,
We're going to Morocco next week for three months.
Had already made a note of Atlantic Parc.
Where are the two others you mentioned?
Peter.
P.S. Ray is around for another 2-3 weeks I believe.

Peter,

Abeino.

Take road N1 south from Tiznit to Guelmim. Turn right onto N12 in about 10 ks you should see the village signed on the right.

Fort Bou Jerif.
A desert site signed towards the coast off the N12 Sidi Ifni - Guelmim road near Abeino.

Remember this info is five years old. Ray might be able to update it. Tiznit is/was worth a visit also Sidi Ifni.

We use to do a circuit, Tiznit, Aglou Plage, coast road to Sidi Ifni, Fort Bou Jerif, Abeino and Tiznit.

The hot springs at Abeino were great for relaxing after a hard day in the sun. We would eat in the site restaurant in the evening after visiting the hot springs.

Safe travelling

Don

Hi Don

Been to that site, was not that great..........but few are along the coast. I think "adequate" would better describe. But then much of the coast is not that good. Shame so many head that way. Bit like driving 2000 th miles to the UK and only going to Blackpool!!! But then I suppose if they all went inland..... Rolling Eyes

Yes, Morocco is getting very very popular with Mhomes, Mostly French and German.............but not so many Brits [hence canceling the MIFF Moroccan tour].............

Was near Agadir with a group last week, we went down as far as Essaoura. Camp there was "OK"..........Unknowingly picked up an illegal from there. He stowed into my trailer and made it past both the Moroccan and Spanish borders but got found by the sniffer dogs at the docks.....felt a bit sorry for him, must have froze and was cramped up for over 20 hours. Could not stand when they dragged him out. All for a beating!

Winter weather was a bit early and we had snow crossing the High Atlas. Crazy day......hot and sunny in the morning.......freezing ice and snow for lunch......and then mild, warm sunset at Essaoura.......Such is Morocco.

Back in Spain for a week or so.....then a few days dash down to Mazouga [dunes] for an early Father Xmas thing at a couple of schools......Then joining a couple of MIFF members [and others] for the big one in Jan!

Whats the weather like in the UK? Need to find my tee shirt....getting a bit chilly near Malaga Laughing .
