A few years ago we stayed at Camp Municipal Du Lac, Les Nugiras,Eguzon , map ref on Michelin Tourist and Motoring Alas France, page 105 – D 1 has anybody been there recently, Lac Chambon on which it is situated is about 10km long. Now we have an inflatable and outboard motor we thought it would be nice to cruise the lake sight seeing, instead of by car.
Can anybody suggest any other large lakes with shore side camping in France that would be good for motorized cruising/ sightseeing?

Yes I can....Lac du Der North of Troyes I think. I put some info in a post of this year in European Trips Topic. I did mention that on one side of this lake there were not only wild camping motorhomes but wild camping motorhomes with wild boating as well. Right by a thing that looks like a Port Authority Building.
I think maybe this lake was used at sometime for some sort of Olympic Games thingy.. I think there are pics in Pussers Nest but if not, pm and I will dig some out for you.
There is a very nice spot on the southern edge of the large lake at Navarrosse. Michelin p142 1b there is a aire plus a large lakeside area very popular for free camping, perhaps too far south for you but would recommend it to anyone travelling that way. Shallow warm water with nice sandy beaches.
On our way back from Du Letty which is inflatable friendly (but whatch out for the 10hp rule and the gendamarie we saw a lovely estuary at dinard but could not stop due to half of france making their way home.
