Just switched from Comfort to Safeguard and saved £100 including AA European breakdown cover instead of RAC so can't visit Croatia after Slovenia as planned next year. It does cover all EU countries without a green card needed (really??). Comfort couldn't match the new quote.

Reading all the small print it seems there are so many exclusions with both companies especially to the extra contents cover ( eg no portable video, laptop etc that isn't fitted as standard) so I would have to rely on my home insurance for that if needed (still with Comfort.) Also the excess is £200 and £60 for w/s

Has anyone had to make a claim with these companies recently?

Steve
