I'm hoping St Nick will bring me a GPS outfit for Xmas, heaven knows I've hinted hard enough.
I would really like one of those jobbies that talk to you....by the way if you miss your turning does the voice shout "you idiot, I told you to turn left", you know, like your wife/navigator does?
On the other hand you can never have too many socks!
MERRY XMAS and a HAPPY NEWYEAR

No neen to worry . . . if you miss your turning it'll tell you & recalculate your destination for you so no need to do a 'U' turn on a motorway to get back on track.
the 'voice' is quite polite - I'd like to know how to reprogramme it to sound more abrupt as I'm not programmed to understand politness
by the by, on e-bay a seller is offering Autoroute 2006 for £4.99 . . . I guess these a copies but I'm assured they are fully working programmes

If Santa does deliver one for you, it will be one of the handiest gadgets you could have, IMHO, no more shouting at the passenger…instead you shout at the voice telling you to “turn around when possible” or in my case travelling to the South West France, having joined a recently opened stretch of new motorway that wasn’t programmed, “ do a U turn”.
Just remember when using it that if you come across a roundabout that’s not showing on the GPS keep going straight, new roundabouts keep popping up.
Have fun

Thanks for the tip vivdicdoc. Ordered and payed by paypal on monday night. On Monday I received an email from ebay advising me not to complete the transaction as the item had been removed after complaints from licence holder. Oh well, at least its only £6.99 I thought.
Surprised to find the software delivered wednesday am. Must be an honest crook.
I intend to use autoroute for longer route planning and then swap to memory map for walks and more detailed mapping when camping in new areas.

Exactly the same thing happened to me with Autoroute 2005 a few months ago.
I suppose the same guy keeps popping up every so often, makes a few pounds and gets dumped from ebay after a tipoff.
