I bought a kit a couple of years back from Allfett (website currently unavailable). It cost £260 and included what was listed on the invoice as a '4103 camera'.

During our recent trip to Turkey I noted that when outside temperatures rose above 30 celsius the image began to degrade with a sheen over part of the screen. With temperatures above 33 celsius the image disappeared entirely.

Once the weather cooled down or the van was sat in shade for a while the camera again functioned okay but it seems likely that the same problem may occur for other systems on vans travelling to the Med and similar areas.
