I know its obvious to us but maybe it will help others, we take a couple of thermos flasks with us. A small one about .5 litre & a 2 litre one, any water left over in the kettle goes into the flask to be used for washing up, another coffee or even back into the kettle if its cooled down. Also stick the kettle on the disposable bbq, usually enough heat left to fill the 2 litre. Also saves on the gas, we often only carry one gas bottle so every little helps.

Hi

We have always done this. Ideal for when you stop for a break, Just arrive on site. Dont have to wait for a gas kettle to boil or wait for other half to get hooked up etc. We always make sure that there are 2 full flasks ready for early morning coffee. Other half pours the coffee & gets breakfast things out while I stow the beds & bedding away.

We also use a flask, but mainly for breakfast, after the kettles boiled we can fill the flask and get rid of the kettle for more cooking space.

Lazy I know, but we like a few coffee's on a morning and it saves getting up and down.

We tried putting a full electric kettle on the BBQ to save energy (as suggested here) but it it seems to have had some unfortunate long term effects on the kettle.

Just joking, but no mention was made of the fact that many of us now use these new fangled devices.
